Who you actually are
Also: IUOC, Individuated Unit of Consciousness, FWAU
An individual unit of consciousness with awareness, memory, purpose and free will. The body is what it is currently driving.
My Big TOE calls the individual an Individuated Unit of Consciousness — the totality of one person's consciousness, described as your true identity, who you fundamentally are. Its attributes are awareness, cognition, purpose, free will and memory.
The part of it currently logged in to play this particular life is called a Free Will Awareness Unit. Same attributes, same quality, same free will; the one difference is that it has no direct access to the memories accumulated across everything that came before. The material is emphatic that these are not two separate beings — they are always connected, always one.
The memory block is presented as design rather than punishment: full recall would break the immersion and the whole exercise would stop working.
Where this gets misread
That the larger part of you is a higher self or a guardian angel watching over you. It is you. The material also warns against believing any of these units literally exist — it calls the free-will awareness unit a metaphor in so many words.
