Physical reality as a virtual reality
Also: PMR, NPMR, the simulation
Your physical world is computed rather than made of stuff — a reality frame with a very tight ruleset.
My Big TOE calls our world Physical Matter Reality, or PMR: the virtual reality we experience as a physical universe. Everything outside it is Non-Physical Matter Reality, NPMR, where the rules are looser and less bound to linear cause and effect.
The distinction between them is not absolute. The model says explicitly that physical and non-physical are relative terms that depend on the observer's position — there is no bedrock, fundamental reality frame underneath everything else.
Note the vocabulary. The model's word is virtual reality, not simulation. That is a deliberate distancing from the simulation-hypothesis conversation, which asks a different question with different stakes.
Where this gets misread
That 'virtual' means 'not real' or 'does not matter'. Under this model the experience is entirely real and the consequences are entirely real — what is virtual is the substrate, not the stakes.
