Entropy
The model's measure of the quality of a consciousness. Low is the good end — which is the opposite of the intuition most people arrive with.
Say the direction out loud, because it catches nearly everyone: in My Big TOE, high entropy means low quality of consciousness and low entropy means high quality. Growth means going down, not up.
The glossary sets out the mechanism plainly. Choices motivated by love tend towards cooperation and sharing, and lower entropy — the questions being how can I help, how can I be of service. Choices motivated by fear tend towards non-cooperation and competition, and raise it — what can I get, what is in it for me. It then chains the whole model into one line: lowering your entropy is spiritual growth, is growing the quality of your consciousness, is getting rid of fear, is becoming love.
There is a second sense that matters for anyone learning to sit still. A high-entropy consciousness is described as a scattered one: more difficulty concentrating, less focus, less awareness, a mind pulled between worry about the future and regret about the past — both of which the model traces back to fear.
Where this gets misread
That low entropy means rigid order. The glossary kills this with a chessboard: the most orderly position on a board is the opening, and it carries the least information. Low entropy means meaningful structure, not regularity. And it is not a score to grind — there is no ledger, no timed test, and movement in the wrong direction is entirely possible if you stop caring.
